Australia and the Philippines have agreed to new air services arrangements, opening the way for expanded routes between the two countries.
Balitang Australia reported that under the new arrangements, Australian and Philippine carriers are now able to offer up to 4,000 seats per week.
The two carriers’ major destinations include Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney in Australia, and Manila and Clark in the Philippines.
Over time, and in response to demand, the new limit can be increased to 6,000 seats up from 2,500 seats.
Last year, over 313,000 people traveled between the Philippines and Australia.
