CHICAGO – A group of Filipino health workers, accused of violating provisions of their contract, won a round against their employers in a New York City court.

 

As the Israeli government continues the crackdown on undocumented migrants, overstaying Filipinos in that country fear they may be deported anytime including at least 1,200 children.

 

A 22-year-old Filipino was sentenced to 15 years in jail for allegedly trying to kill an Iranian woman he was robbing in April last year, while a 29-year-old Filipino was sentenced to six months imprisonment for peeping.
